These guys are "hands down" my
favorite band outside of the DC area. Funny
name, but when I tell you that these guys have a flavor all their own and
CRANK.......believe me! They are hard to describe but since I am a master of
words, I'll try (I'm so modest right? LOL). Well, they have an eclectic,
neo-soul type of sound that would be reminiscent of Jill Scott or Erykah Badu if it wasn't for the fact that they are playing and performing
the likes of Drake, Wayne, Busta and other hip hop greats. But they do
it with their own special brand of funk and swag that makes their sound
deserving of its own genre. What's crazy is that it's a 3 man band that sounds
like 10! They are amazingly talented musicians playing their instruments,
singing, rapping and putting it down in a most superior fashion that would
appear to be beyond the scope of a mere 3 mortals. Stay tuned for a sample post of their
music on Lounge Around Atlanta and a schedule of some of their upcoming
performances. Whether I feature them or not in my weekend forecast, if you know
they're playing somewhere, they are always a safe bet for a spectacular evening
of entertainment.
